REPUBLIC OF
PERILO MINISTRY OF TRANSPORTATION
The Ministry of Transportation is responsible
for the development and regulation of the governmentally and privately owned
transportation transportation systems of the Republic, including aviation,
highway, maritime, and rail transportation.
DEPARTMENTS
- Department of Aviation - the
Department of Aviation operates the air traffic control and routing system,
operates the national airline, Perilo Air,
inspects and licenses privately owned airlines and air services, trains
and licenses pilots, flight engineers, radio operators, navigators, pursers,
and flight attendants, inspects and regulates
airports, and publishes aeronautical charts and airfield
approach plates for Perilan airspace (in conjunction with the
Geological Survey of Perilo). The
Department operates the Airport Fire Service
to provide crash fire-rescue services at military and civil airports.
- Department of Railways - the
Department of Railways operates the National
Railway and serves as the Republic's member on the Board of
Directors of the Intracontinental Railroad.
- Department of Roads and Highways -
the Department of Roads and Highways plans, builds, and maintains the paved
and unpaved road network of the Republic, licenses individual and commercial
drivers, and publishes highway maps of Perilo (in conjunction with the
Geological Survey of Perilo).
- Department of Maritime Navigation -
the Department of Maritime Navigation operates all state owned civilian
vessels, regulates the maritime industry, licenses mariners (including
Masters, deck Officers, Chief and other Engineers, Pursers, and Radio
Operators), inspects waterways, maintains aids to navigation on inland
waterways (in conjunction with the Coast Guard), including lakes and rivers,
and publishes charts of and sailing and harbor directories for Perilan
waters (in conjunction with the Geological Survey
of Perilo).
