PROVINCIAL, CITY, TOWN, VILLAGE, AND RECOGNIZED SETTLEMENT LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES IN THE REPUBLIC OF PERILO
Law enforcement at the regional and local level is the responsibility of law enforcement agencies established and funded by the individual jurisdictions. The Office of Police Administration in the Ministry of the Interior establishes standards, supervises training, and provides grant funding to assist localities.
Local law enforcement provides primary enforcement of criminal and traffic laws and local ordinances, operate local jails, and provide court security. All jurisdictions of Classes I through V operate Police forces. Class VI townships with populations of under 3000 and recognized settlements may employ a Marshal, a single law enforcement officer.
