SOP 6: DISASTER REPORTING
1. Purpose: This standard operating procedure establishes the types, sequence, and timing of national, provincial, and local reporting in disasters.
2. Application: This standard will be complied with by the staff of all Emergency Operations Centers and Civil Defense Offices, including the Ministry of Extreme Situations, other government agencies, Provinces, and Cities, Towns, Villages, Townships, and Recognized Settlements, to assure the timely submission of disaster reports.
3. Reporting: Reports must provide a picture of the development of a disaster event for the use of decision makers at the Provincial and national levels. To do this reports should be (1) as accurate as available information allows, (2) developed and dispatched in a timely manner, and (3) transmitted as rapidly as available communications systems will allow. The following table provides the sequence of reports:
