REPUBLIC OF PERILO MINISTRY OF THE INTERIOR

The Ministry of the Interior has broad responsibility for the general welfare of citizens of the Republic and for their safety and for the promotion of the general good.

DEPARTMENTS, AGENCIES, AND MAJOR PROGRAMS:

• Office of the Fire Service - a central staff of 3 persons provides general technical support, funding assistance, and training assistance to the various fire departments in the Republic.  The Office of the Fire Service provides fire service technical expertise and coordination for the National Emergency Operations Center when full activation is ordered.
• Perilo Constabulary - the Constabulary provides a national police force for the preservation of law and order, assistance to city and provincial police agencies, and security of the Republic.  The Constabulary provides law enforcement representation for the National Emergency Operations Center when full activation is ordered.
• Geological Survey - the Geological Survey of Perilo is the national agency charged with the mapping of the Republic and the exploration of the geological and hydrological characteristics of the landmass and the waters of continental shelf.
• National Weather Service - provides a centralized national weather observation and forecasting system for civilian and military users and disseminates warnings of impending severe weather.
• Department of Provincial and City Affairs - provides technical and planning assistance and assists in coordinating intergovernmental services for Provincial, City, Town, Village, and Township governments.  Also designates recognized settlements.  Click here to see a map of provincial boundaries.
• Office of Police Administration - establishes standards for provincial, city, town, village, and recognized settlement law enforcement agencies and personnel, supervises training, and provides funding for law enforcement programs.
