REPUBLIC OF PERILO AMATEUR RADIO DISASTER CORPS
The Amateur Radio Disaster Corps uses amateur radio communications to support governmental communications needs in time of emergency, to include:
All licensed amateur radio operators are required as a condition of their license to serve as members of the Amateur Radio Disaster Corps. Approximately 280 licensed amateurs are members at this time. To encourage participation in the system, each emergency operations center, all military installations, each airport, and all Constabulary barracks are equipped with a high frequency radio station available to licensed amateur radio operators for disaster work, during exercises, and to transmit and receive messages through the National Amateur Traffic System. Service in the Amateur Radio Disaster Corps serves to meet Militia service commitments in time of crisis.
During disaster operations all messages transmitted by amateur radio must be formatted as formal messages using the standard of Joint SOP 3, and each operating station must maintain a station log of all radio operations undertaken. Messages may be assigned precedences for handling as follows:
| Precedence | Meaning | Delivery Time |
| Emergency (letter designator E) | message reporting disaster impacts, requesting assistance required in next 24 hours or less, or directing emergency response | target is delivery anywhere in the Republic in 2 hours |
| Priority (letter designator P) | message requesting assistance in next 36 to 48 hours, or directing response in next 24 to 48 hours | target is delivery anywhere in the Republic in 8 hours |
| Routine (letter designator R) | messages that require action longer than 48 hours out | target is delivery anywhere in the Republic in 24 hours |
| Disaster Welfare Inquiry (designator D) | inquiry as to the welfare or location of a citizen or reporting same to authorities or family or friends | target is delivery anywhere in the Republic in 48 hours |
The amateur radio station at the National Emergency Operations Center serves as the national net control station. An amateur radio operator in each province is designated as a Provincial Coordinator to coordinate training, exercises, and response in the province. Provincial Coordinators may designate District Coordinators where needed.
